What is the Thermal Spa Experience?

The central aspect of Spa Experience is the thermal spa. Consisting of several chambers, each housing a different heat treatment, the thermal spa experience offers you the chance to indulge in therapies that date back hundreds of years. The thermal spa experience includes use of Sauna, Hot Rooms, Aroma Steam Rooms, Hydrotherapy Pools, and Hammam with Foot Baths. At regular intervals you can re-hydrate and cool the body by immersing in the Plunge Pool, rubbing the body with crushed ice flakes from the Ice Fountain, drenching yourself under the plunge bucket or showering with the cooling or warming Monsoon Shower. Rest in the warm Hammam area and prevent dehydration by drinking plenty of the fruit infused waters which are available in the Relaxation Lounge.* (*Facilities vary by location).

Does the Thermal Spa Experience vary at each Spa Experience location?

Yes, each day spa has its own offering of hot and cold therapies. Please refer to the individual spa location page to determine what is available for you to enjoy.

Can men and women come to use the spa together?

Yes, but only during the mixed session times. Please refer to individual locations for the spa timetables.

Do I need to bring anything with me to use the thermal spa experience?

Yes- your swim wear. The spa will provide you with towel, robe and slippers.

Do you have to use the spa to have treatments?

No, treatments are bookable 7 days a week, the exception to this is the Ironmonger Row Signature treatments that require you to purchase a Thermal Spa Experience entry.

Can children use the spa?

No, the minimum age to use the spa is 16 years old.

Can children have treatments?

Yes, at our Swiss Cottage Boutique spa we offer a teen treatment menu from the age of 12 years

I am not working at the moment - can I get a discount?

Yes, concession rates are available at some locations for those over 65, and on benefits. These rates apply during our off peak times. Proof of your status needs to be presented at the spa reception at time of joining as a member.

How long can I stay in the spa?

The ticket for the Thermal spa is for a period of 3 hours.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes. These can be for specific treatments or a monetary amount. Vouchers can be purchased through this website, over the telephone or in person at the spa and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Gift cards once purchased may not be refunded, except in accordance with your online purchase legal rights and is not exchangeable for any form of cash or credit. Cancellations for booked services received with 24 hours notice will be issued with a full refund. Booking and pre-payment is essential for all treatments and thermal spa experience sessions.
