You needn’t worry about your skin and hair when you use the sauna as part of the Spa Experience Thermal Spa Experience. But if you are the sort of person who likes to use saunas regularly then you should take some precautions to make sure neither your skin nor your hair get damaged or dried out by the intense heat. Here are some tips for frequent sauna users.
SKIN CARE
Combine your Thermal Spa Experience with a moisturising body massage or facial treatment. Treatments like the De-stress Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage use scented essential oils which will replace moisture lost in the sauna.
After you get home from the sauna you should definitely moisturise your face and other sensitive skin which is prone to dryness. If you are particularly worried about a dry area, then you might consider applying Vaseline to it prior to entering the sauna. We also recommend that you drink plenty of water to keep your body and its skin fully hydrated.
HAIR CARE
If you are using the sauna regularly then you may find your hair dries out and gets frail or frizzy. An easy solution is to wet your hair and then wrap it with a towel before entering the sauna. A more extreme alternative is to do the same thing but add coconut oil, but I wouldn’t recommend trying this if you are prone to having greasy hair.
